This game is amazing!
It is a WWII flight simulator game, focusing on the Russian front. Hence the name of the game, named after the premier Russian ground attack plane.
It's an older game, but good grief, the graphics and detail are gorgeous! The game is similar to other war games as far as missions go, but what really shines for me is the multi-player. It actually allows you to play in a cooperative mission with other players against the AI. That's becoming more common, but is still rare, and unheard of back then.
It tell you, if you have any interest in flying WWII planes, this is the game to get. For the price, you sure can't go wrong. $10 at Amazon.
The game has various settings that allow you to play without hours of real life flight training, but it also has those options if you want them. Like adjusting the tilt of your prop, neat, but not something I need to get involved in. I put the landing gear up and sometimes remember to adjust the flaps for take off...that's as detailed as I need to be I think.
The ability to lock on to a friendly plane and swing the camera around with the mouse is one of my favorite parts. Obviously you would only do this if you were playing with a friend and you had already died or crashed. I do that a lot, so I really enjoy this. I kid you not, it's like watching a movie. It's that pretty.
Plus, it's fun! Which is nice, so it has that going for it too.
