Back from GenCon

Okay, that was excellent.
We had a great time, as usual, and it seemed to just fly by this time for some reason.

Thursday Elona played in a M.U.L.E. game, and she loves that so that was good. Eric an I spent a lot of time and money in the dealer room.

I got Yetisburg, baby!

It's a card game based on the American Civil War, except that both sides brought down Yetis from Canada to fight on the front lines. Some guy walking down the street shouted out the above for no apparent reason, and that was great. I got the game too.

We also acquired the complete Crimson Skies miniatures game, an expansion for the Descent game, the Adventurer card game, the Starship Troopers miniatures game, the comic based Vs. card game, a complete set of the Star Trek RPG from Decipher, several bag loads of miniatures, and a bunch more stuff I'm drawing a blank on right now.

Friday Elona volunteered in the Craft Room while Eric and I played a game of Tide of Iron. It was supposed to be the D-Day expansion, but it was just regular ToI. That was still fun though.

Elona went in costume again, Wonder Woman on Saturday and a TOS officer on Friday and Sunday. She looked excellent as always, and got lots of photos taken of her.

Saturday night she taught her three pole classes which were a huge hit, so she will likely be doing that again next year.

Speaking of nights, Eric had an adventure with his first night. Apparently the hotel had to rent some extra cots for their rooms and Eric got stuck on one of those. The rental agency is apparently very old, and geared towards children. As you can see, the bed is absurdly short, and he's not doing anything odd here. The bed was so warped it was more like a hammock than a bed.

The hotel didn't charge us for the cot, and they brought up a real person sized one for the remaining nights.

Yes, that was something.
I'm glad they fixed it, that couldn't have been comfortable!
