Issue 3: Smugglers Blues
Once again our heroes have received a tip regarding the nefarious actions of the villains.
The villains have been given a piece of jewelry, and told to deliver it to a waiting contact. The villains begin in the upper left corner and need to reach the grey warehouse on the lower right. The heroes need to KO the villains, search them, find the jewelry, and deliver it to the police officer in the upper right.
Since this is a smuggling mission, the mastermind sends only three villains, and obviously he sends the inconspicuous ones. Megalo Don, Billy the Killed, and Swiss Soldier. (He spent last game recovering, so he's fine now).
The Swiss Soldier immediately shrinks down and hides against the wall.
Master Particle swoops in and demonstrates a new power he's learned by Exploding! That's kind of annoying, The villains aren't liking that much. Still, he didn't do much damage, and he's a useless ball of vapor for a while, so...
Captain Fancy drops in and slugs it out with Megalo Don, the Don lands a powerful blow knocking the shiny hero for a loop!
The Swiss Soldier moves along as a tiny, tiny man. Hiding each time he stops. Lord Magnificent can sense him nearby, but he simply can't see him!
Tired of sneaking, the Swiss Soldier decides to make a run for it, enlarging to normal size he attacks Lord Magnificent! Unfortunately for him, Citadel has just about caught up, and does so quickly. The Swiss Soldier is in a dire situation, facing off against two powerful heroes.
Meanwhile, Billy the Killed is moving along taking pot shots at any hero he can see, but not getting very far. Megalo Don isn't even trying, he just keeps slugging it out with Captain Fancy.
Citadel and Lord Magnificent together are simply too much for the Soldier, he's knocked down and out. A search of the unconscious villain turns up nothing! He doesn't have the jewelry, so who does?
Even when Billy the Killed is KO'ed by a Ghost Touch from Master Particle, Megalo Don doesn't change tactics, he just keeps knocking around the Captain. Master Particle realizes that his explosion must have done more damage than he thought to be able to drop the cowboy with a single touch.
Phasing back to solid, Master Particle searches Billy and finds the jewelry!
Taking to the sky, Master Particle races toward the police officer. Megalo Don has another moment to react, but he can't see where the hero went, and he couldn't reach him anyway even if he could. So he admits defeat and flees the town.
